Why Did Audi Hike Vehicle Prices In India?

According to the reports, on Wednesday, 6th December 2022, Audi stated that it will be increasing the prices of its model range. This car is already in the category of a luxury car and now it will increase its price by up to 1.7 percent, with effect from 1st January 2023. According to German automotive manufacturers, the firm is increasing the prices because of a hike in the operational and input costs. On Wednesday, 6th December 2022, Balbir Singh Dhillon the India Head of Audi stated in a released statement read that “The primary goal of the firm’s business strategy aims at the model that begets sustainability and profitability. Those who are thinking that why the firm is increasing the price, the reason behind it the price correction is getting highly affected as a consequence of the increasing supply-chain-connected input as well as operational costs. He further added that The new and the latest price range for the firm models are controlled in order to maintain the premium price positioning of the automotive, making sure the sustainable growth of both the dealer partners and the automaker. The increase in prices of its model with effect will see from 1st January 2023. The current line-up of Audi in India includes the petrol-powered A4, A6, A8 L, Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8, S5 Sportsback, RS 5 Sportback and RSQ8. Not only Audi but mainstream passenger vehicle brands Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki India have also declared plans to hike prices with effect from the start of the upcoming year.
