Patterson wrote a Tweet in order to disclose his friend’s passing, which reads that “On the side of the family of a late musician named Bernard Wright (Nard), We are heartbroken to declare that on Thursday, 19th May 2022, Bernard has been passed away and gone to the home of God.” His statement further added that “Several thanks for the immense support of everyone, prayers, and encouragement for Nard throughout his singing career. Please keep the mourning family in your deepest thoughts and prayers at this tough time…Rest In Peace, Nard!”

He started his music career at the age of 13 when he got the offer of a slot tour which he had done with Lenny White and when he was 16 years old he played apace with Tom Browne.
