What Happened With Ayaz Amir?
He continued by asking that if a person like him who is known is getting attacked, what will the common people face, and if he is not safe, how come a common man is safe in the country. As of now, Ayaz is 73 years old and he said that in the context that the attackers did not even flinch about his age. Speaking about the attack it was said that Ayaz who had wrapped up his show on Dunya News and was getting back to his house along with his driver was attacked by six men. When he was on the road he was stopped by six men and they dragged him out of his car. Ayaz’s clothes were then ripped and then he was beaten up as well. According to Ayaz, his driver was also tortured by the men. They took Ayaz’s phone and did not return him until they beat him up.

Finally, when people started gathering at the place, the attackers fled away and he was left with ripped clothes. The attackers were wearing masks and were unknown to Ayaz. The civil line police booked the case and enquired everything about the attack. According to sources, the police are taking a strict inquiry on the case and they looking for any kind of footage from the CCTV cameras and they will soon catch the culprits according to sources. Prime Minister Shahbaaz as well said that a strict inquiry was to be carried out in this case and the culprits would be taken into charge as soon as possible. Prime Minster Shahbaaz and the Chief Minister of Punjab condemned the attack on Ayaz.

Prime Minister expressed his sympathy to the senior Journalist and ordered to catch the culprits soon. The attack on Ayaz happened in Lahore. The attack took place on Friday 1st of June 2022, and one day earlier he passed on a statement to the army and said that they are property dealers. This comment might be the reason that he was attacked these speculations are airing around but as said investigations are held and the culprits will soon be held. Imran Khan as well mentioned the attack in his tweet and said he condemns in strongest terms the violence against a senior journalist. Imran Khan said that when the state loses morals it resorts to violence.
