The students from Chandigarh University are revolting and there is a protest ongoing in Chandigarh. Even though the news is getting viral and students are in extreme anger, the University has not issued anything to officials until now. It was also reported by many sources that the management of the University is trying to deny and suppress this case. Many officials are getting involved in the case and it is been said that the culprit who leaked the video of the girls has been locked in a room as the students of the University are in anger and they might try to attack the accused as many of them already did try to do so.

As per the sources, and the reports from the officials, a girl from the University recorded a video of around 60 girls who were taking bath and she uploaded it on the internet. This video of the girl’s private moments was uploaded on an adult website where the video was seen by many of the University students and the news was leaked all over the media and the University as well. When the news came ahead students revolted and wanted justice as their dignity and respect were at risk. When the news was taken under charge and police were involved it came out that the girl who uploaded the video was actually recording the video for many months and the video was not of the girls from University but was of herself.

News also came up that 8 girls tried to take their lives and were attempting suicide. While Mohali SSP denied that the news is fake and no death was reported and there is nothing like that. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said via Twitter that the police are investigating the case and soon the case will be brought to justice. Mohali Sp also stated that the girl recorded and uploaded videos of herself but not of others. DIG Ropar Range said in a statement that the culprit is under arrest and will not be spared, he also added that the parents of the girls and the students as well are appealed to stay calm as the police are investigating the case. Education minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the matter is very sensitive and will be handled very cautiously as the dignity and respect of daughters and sisters of the state are at risk.
